Apple Releases iOS 10.3 with new Find My AirPods and more

Apple today released the third major update of iOS 10 operating system, iOS 10.3 to the public. iOS 10.3 has been testing since 24th of January 2017, with seven beta releases for the public beta testers and developers. This new update is available via over-the-air update or also, you can download it with the iTunes. As the most recent main update, iOS 10.3 brings you some special features such as Find My AirPods, Sirikit features and more.

As a new option in iOS 10.3, Find My AirPods get a particular character because this will be useful more than the “Find My iPhone”. For further information, this new option will help iPhone owners to locate their misplaced AirPods same as the Find My iPhone. Once your iDevice is updated to the iOS 10.3, there will be another new feature called Apple File System (APFS).

• A new Security section has been added to Settings
• New Reduced Motion for web pages on Safari
• New weather actions with 3D Touch
• CarPlay have the ability to find the nearest EV charging places
• A shortcut has designed to launch latterly used app in CarPlay
• Conversations on Mail app includes navigation information
• Sirikit can be used to pay bills, listen to live IPL scores, check the payment status and more
•  The widgets in Podcast app are same as the Music app
• A border has arrived for Spotlight search

These are the main new features that have arrived with the latest iOS 10.3 update. In addition of these, as always it includes bug fixes to prevent jailbreak iOS 10.3 from the hackers. However, rumored and expected “Theatre Mode” is not included in this new major update. Apple always gives their users new technology and it can be understood by seeing these facts.

Download iOS 10.3 on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

The over-the-air update mechanism is the most simple way to download a new software update on your iOS device. But bear in your mind that download Cydia won’t compatible with your device if you have used this method. If you wish to jailbreak and Cydia download on iOS 10.3, I recommend you to follow iTunes update.

• Make a complete backup using iCloud
• Open Settings app on your Home screen
• Then navigate to General > Software Update
• Tap on “Download and Install” to download new software
• Enter your passcode, if asked
• Tap on “Agree” button for Terms and Conditions

iOS 10.3 install using iTunes on your Mac or Windows

• Plug the targeted device into your  Windows computer or Mac
• Open the latest version of iTunes
• Before starting the installing progress, backup your iDevice with iTunes
• Click the device icon at the top left corner on iTunes
• Click on “Check for Updates”
• Once the iTunes checked for new version, click on “Download and Install”
• Click on “Agree” for Terms and conditions
• Enter your passcode, if asked

By following these two methods, you can easily upgrade your software version to the iOS 10.3. However, if you are a Cydia download fan, stay on your current firmware version to save the jailbreak possibility.
